Who could think that a boy from South Africa who spent his childhood reading books, who was often bullied by his schoolmates and the eldest one among his siblings would become the richest man on earth? But it did not happen like a miracle, it is the result of a nonstop struggle and dedication towards his dreams. Elon Musk is a story of unlimited dreams and struggle of making them come true.
His decision to move to the United States in 1995 became a turning point of his life. At Stanford his passion for applied physics ended up just after a couple of days after his younger brother Kimball Musk came to join him, and they started ZIP2, the first ever startup of Musk brothers. The ZIP2 was a unique idea of that time, a business directory with detailed maps which attracted investors and after a successful launch worked for more than three years until the IT giant Compaq bought it for 280 million USD.
After ZIP2, Elon went on his own and entered into financial services, He co-founded X.Com which simply brought its rival Confinity to kneel down and be merged in X.Com, thus forming a new financial giant to be called as PayPal. In October 2002 Elon Musk sold PayPal to eBay for 1.5 billion USD.
After two mega successful projects like ZIP2 and PayPal Elon Musk decided to enter into an idea which grabbed the attention of the whole world with months, he decided to invest in ideas for Climate Change. Elon risked his fortune not for one project this time; He went for three projects at the same time - Tesla Motors, SolarCity, and The Boring Company.
Musk thinks that the world population must think in a broader way, according to him “We must find more opportunities and more planets other than our mother Earth”. He founded SpaceX the aim of which is single and dedicated – Musk wants to make us able to travel cost effectively to the other planets.
Today Elon Musk has shown this world how dedication works, how dreams can fuel our dedication and how dreams and dedications can be transformed into fruitful results not only for oneself but for the whole planet. Musk possesses a fortune of more than 190 billion US dollars, and it seems that his dreams are unlimited and unknown.
